Paul Musembwa

Mr. Paul Musembwa, Warp's CEO, brings a singular dedication to addressing Africa’s debilitating affordable housing shortages. Paul’s mission is to convert Africa’s large and growing housing and urban infrastructure deficit into Africa’s economic growth engine for the 21st century. Paul believes that turning Africa’s predominantly low-income households into homeowners will replicate Singapore’s economic hyper-growth experience and propel African countries to a middle-income status within a generation.

Paul has more than 20 years experience in the finance and housing sectors. In Canada over a 12 year period, Paul was involved in affordable housing development, large scale rental property management (including leasing, high-cost repairs and maintenance, energy-efficient retrofits), affordable housing policy policy formulation and implementation, and in successful negotiations with Governments on effective affordable housing finance solutions. Paul was also actively involved in the management and growth of a not-for-profit housing trust with almost $100 million in assets. Paul has initiated housing developments in Canada, Cameroon, Kenya and Rwanda. Paul is also involved in structuring financing solutions for green energy projects in several African countries.
